PGstats is now on YouTube!

It’s official: The PGstats YouTube channel is live!

While Panda’s main channel and Panda Fighting Games focus on the casual audience, PGstats content is geared towards those looking to take a deeper, stats-driven dive into their favorite competitive titles. Kicking off with content for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Melee, the goal is to expand into other fighting games as well.

The channel to date boasts a selection of longform data-based analyses, along with insightful interviews with top competitors now that in-person events have returned. Each video provides the viewer with an opportunity to take a more in-depth look into the players and fan favorite competitive moments through statistical analysis.

Freshly onboarded as the Director of Competitive Content at Panda, Thomas Tischio brought together the best in the industry to tackle this project:

Turn Down for Walt, the Lead Producer for PGstats, boasts a wealth of knowledge on Super Smash Bros. melee statistics to the table. He has successfully run his own channel for the past three years, experiencing massive growth through his unique stats-driven content.

Zane joins us as the lead writer for the channel with an impressive resume including an MFA from Columbia film school and bylines with the Washington Post and ESPN. He is responsible for running all the scripts for PGstats.

Finally, Barnard’s Loop is the leading voice for data collection and competitive analysis in the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate community. He takes on the role of Lead Researcher for all PGstats Ultimate content.

"PGstats has long been a beacon for the community in terms of providing statistics and information for those looking to take their game to the next level. My goal in creating this team is to provide a place where the smash community / larger FGC can come for deep-dives into their favorite players, sets and tournaments while staying up with the latest from all their favorite players and content creator," Thomas Tischio, Director of Competitive Content at Panda.
