Panda Controller Kickstarter Raises $1 Million

Panda Controller Kickstarter Raises $1 Million

Just over 2 days after its launch on December 1st, the Panda Controller Kickstarter has already raised more than $1,000,000 with over 7,800 orders. Our campaign’s base goal of $100,000 was reached in less than one hour, with over $30K raised in the first 15 minutes. We can’t thank all our backers enough for their support, and we’re so glad to see that people are as excited about this project as we are.

Thanks to your support, we’ve already unlocked 10 different stretch goals, including additional Shell lines, color packs, firmware updates for the controller, and even a YouTube documentary on the history of the famed GameCube controller. As the campaign continues to garner support, we will continue to add new stretch goals to enhance the controller and technical support for the project.

The Kickstarter will stay open until December 30th, at which point we will open up pre orders for controller accessories through Kickstarter’s post-pledge survey system. These additional add-ons will include items not available during the initial campaign. Those who pledged to the Kickstarter can pick up the Pro Shell that changes the shape to a modern grip, a Switch & PC Wireless Expansion Pack, or a Travel Case as add-on features. Additionally, with the $500k stretch goal being fulfilled, controller accessories will be made available in our shop following the campaign’s closure. The controller itself is expected to ship out in December 2022.

“Overcoming many obstacles and despite all odds, we knew that developing the Panda Controller was necessary to revolutionize our industry,” said Dr. Alan Bunney, our CEO. “Seeing all the positive feedback and outpouring of support from fans who appreciate our vision has been truly incredible. We hope to continue to listen and respond to what they want from our products as production continues.”

We’re so grateful for all the support this campaign has received so far, and we will continue to do everything we can to provide support to the communities we serve and elevate the landscape of competitive play.
