Adorama Joins Panda as Official Electronics Retail Partner for 2022

Adorama Joins Panda as Official Electronics Retail Partner for 2022

We are very excited to have Adorama joining us as our official electronics retail partner heading into the new year. We have already worked closely with Adorama in the past on the Adorama Charity Cup series, a collection of online charity events for a variety of different games and supporting a number of different causes. Heading into 2022, we can’t wait to continue working alongside Adorama on this series, as well as even more exciting events and activations.

Our first event with Adorama was back in August 2020, when we ran a Street Fighter V event that raised $1,200 for Stand With Students. Since then, we’ve collaborated on charity events benefiting organizations such as the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, and Gamers Outreach. Earlier this month, we ran our latest Adorama Charity Cup event and the first one under our new official partnership, a Killer Instinct tournament that raised $1,300 for New York’s largest food rescue organization City Harvest.

"We are excited to become Panda Global’s official electronics retail partner for 2022,” said Irwin Rommel, Head of PR and Influencer Marketing at Adorama. "Adorama’s mission to help our community Create No Matter What pairs perfectly with Panda's innovative and pioneering base of content creators and gamers."

Throughout the month of December, our Pandas have been making appearances on the AdoramaXP Twitch channel, doing stream takeovers to showcase their content and games of choice to Adorama’s audience. On December 2nd, Anna Cramling went live on Adorama’s channel with a beginner crash course into the world of chess, explaining some basics and talking through her thought processes as she played games live. On December 11th, Justin Wong gave a deep dive into one of the most beloved fighting games ever made, Marvel vs. Capcom 2. Next, fresh off his big win at Smash Summit 12, Cody “iBDW” Schwab took over the AdoramaXP Twitch channel on December 18th to showcase the beautiful world of Super Smash Bros. Melee. Finally, WaDi brought in the new year with some Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on January 1st!

"Adorama has been an amazing partner. Supporting charity and communities around the FGC and Smash Bros. with the events we've partnered on has been a wonderful experience for both us and the fans. We can't wait to take our partnership with Adorama to the next level and continue to bring more great things to our community together!"
