Panda and our team members generate a lot of excellent YouTube content and will be making much more in the future. Maximizing SEO to make sure every video is seen by the largest swath of its target audience possible is an incredibly important task in the YouTube ecosystem. The SEO Designer creates engaging thumbnails, craft eye-catching titles and attach search-friendly tags to PG YouTube content. By making sure that our players are seen, you put the cherry on top of the Panda social media sundae. This position reports to the Head of SEO and is a paid position.
What the Position Entails:
- Create thumbnails and titles for YouTube content for Panda and other related channels which aims to attract potential viewers
- Assign tags to Panda YouTube content to ensure potential viewers looking for content come across our videos that apply to their search
- Self-evaluate, generate data analysis, and suggest improvements or changes for more growth in regular reports to the Head of SEO
What Sort of Background Is Necessary:
- Familiarity with the wide spectrum of games and communities supported by Panda (including, but not limited to, Smash titles, Street Fighter, chess, Pokemon, Guilty Gear, etc).
- Prior experience working with search-engine optimization, especially as it relates to YouTube and social media marketing.
- Though graphic design is a central piece of this job, formal graphic design training is not required; that being said, familiarity with some of the Adobe suite (or equivalent programs) is heavily recommended.
What Qualities Make You Shine for This Position:
- Procedure-oriented: SEO optimization is frequently repetitive, but it serves an important purpose. The SEO Designer needs to be procedural while also being conscientious of their work.
- Analytical: To continually improve, the SEO Designer reviews previous content and measures the success of their tags, thumbnail and title. Identifying how videos which employed different SEO styles performed in relation to one another informs future work.
- Forward-facing: The world of SEO changes often, so staying on the most current trends is of utmost importance
